Alyssa
Registered Dental Hygienist
As one of our Registered Dental hygienists, Alyssa has been an educator, coach, and friend to each of her patients. She earned her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University and uses that education every day to better her patient’s experience here at Ottesen Family Dentistry. Alyssa really enjoys meeting new people every day and developing that personal connection with each one, all while helping them reach a higher level of oral health. She says that the compassion that each person at the practice shows everyone that walks through the door makes them extra special. You will actually feel heard and cared for when you are under our care. Outside of the office, Alyssa is enjoying her marriage, playing with her two pups, or being outside and enjoying everything Florida has to offer!
Amy
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy is a graduate of the Pierce College Dental Hygiene Program in Lakewood, Washington. She also has a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Eastern WA University. She’s been working in the field of dentistry for about twenty years and joined our practice in 2020. Growing up, her mother was a dental assistant and taught her the importance of oral hygiene and taking proper care of your health, which she now gets to teach to every patient who walks in our doors. As a military spouse, her job also lets her connect with the community in a personal way whenever they move. Amy has been coaching youth basketball at Crosspointe for the past two years and also loves to exercise and do yoga. She also loves to go on long walks with her dogs and go camping with her family.
Kate
Certified Dental Assistant
Kate attended Northwest Florida State College before joining our practice about 5 years ago. She loves working with the entire dental team in order to help care for people, providing comprehensive care with a gentle touch. Her family is very important to her – she and her husband do work in the community to help veterans in need. She also loves to grow things! Tomatoes, peppers, flowers and more abound from her garden, with the help of her two pups of course.
Maleya
Registered Dental Assistant
Maleya is a graduate of Fortis Institute and has been working in dentistry for about four years. She enjoys making people feel comfortable and happy, and as a dental assistant she gets to work directly with the doctor on procedures that help patients improve their oral health. She loves the team element of our practice, and how everyone is willing to help each other out in order to help the patient achieve their smile goals. Outside of the office, Maleya also works part time at Tropical Smoothie, spends lots of time cooking with family and friends, and loves hanging out with her younger siblings.
Tineka
Dental Assistant / Receptionist / Registered Dental Hygienist
Tineka received her registered dental hygienist training from Darton College in Albany, GA and she currently has well over a decade of dental industry experience under her belt. In the office, you will probably see Tineka working at the front desk, dental assisting, and providing hugs to our littlest patients. She says she loves being a part of the Ottesen Family Dentistry team because everyone has compassion, a strong work ethic, and goes out of their way to help maintain a relaxing, family environment where patients feel comfortable. We love Tineka because she’s efficient, meticulous, dependent, enthusiastic, and outgoing. In her spare time, Tineka enjoys hunting, fishing, watching her daughter Kaylee play softball, and going to the beach. She has been happily married to her husband Trent for nearly two decades.
Rebecca
Administrative Assistant
Rebecca attended Brigham Young University. She has got many administrative responsibilities at the office and enjoys organizing data. She says she loves working at Ottesen Family Dentistry because it is close to home and has friendly team members and patients who always help make her job fun. Rebecca says the office is also special because everyone genuinely cares about our patients paying close attention to their oral and overall health needs. Rebecca is good at what she does because she is meticulous, kind, and logical. When she is not busy helping patients, Rebecca likes spending time with family, acting as president of the women’s group at her church, playing the piano, walking her dog, reading, and traveling.
