For the patient, this co-discovery process provides ample opportunity to express concerns and objectives while learning and experiencing his or her own oral health conditions in a meaningful way.
Every new patient receives a comprehensive exam which includes:
- Reviewing your overall health, through medical and dental histories (don’t forget to bring a list of any and all medication)
- Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs
- Completing digital radiographs (x-rays)
- Recording in-depth documentation of existing oral health conditions
We will screen you for periodontal (gum) disease, TMJ disorder, assess your bite and jaw muscle, oral cancer risks, and other pathologies which would affect your oral and overall health. That is because the more we know about you and your smile, the better we are able to provide the very best possible care for you and your family.
